Integration - SME Professional

Integration overview
With the SME Professional Integration enabled it eliminates the need to enter Market Appraisal appointment data (i.e. client name, address, contact details, appointment date and time, etc) into Acaboom.

When a Market Appraisal is booked in SME Professional, the appointment details are sent to Acaboom, where the Pre-Appointment presentation is automatically sent to the homeowner and the main presentation is created ready for the valuer to add comparables, etc.


SETUP

With the booking of a market appraisal within SME Professional, the integration supports the automatic sending of your Acaboom pre-appointment presentation and the creation of the main presentation/proposal within your account, where it’s then ready for the valuer to add comparable property and supporting data.
Note that the integration supports sales appointments only at this time; lettings support is due to be added in the coming months once additional SME Professional API works have been completed.

The steps to set up the integration are as follows:

Step 1
An API key needs to be obtained from SME Professional which for security reasons needs to be requested directly from you. Please email [email protected] to ask for your Acaboom integration API key.

Step 2

Once you have your API key, follow the steps below (- or watch the instructional video here):

  1. Log into your Acaboom Account

  2. Click on your account name (top right corner)

  3. Select My Preferences and the SME

  4. Change the toggle to 'On'

  5. Enter the API key and click 'Save'

Once the key is entered into Acaboom the integration will start working shortly afterwards.


POST INSTALLATION

Acaboom calls SME Professional's API every 30 minutes for new MAs, this will include details about the appointment to include the homeowners name, address, contact information, day and time of the appointment and who the valuer is.

Booking the Market Appraisal
When booking an appointment within SME Professional the API will look for details that have been entered into the 'adding an appraisal' window:

Once the 'submit enquiry and add property' is pressed, you will be prompted to add details of the property:



with the Appointment date / time being sent in the Appraisal overview screen:

Note: if a user is not sure if they have linked a valuer to a property, the house icon next to the property in question in the above, will navigate to the 'Property Overview'. Within the 'Appraisal' tab, if an employee has not been linked, click on the 'no valuer set' and then select the relevant employee:

Syncing / Checking Status
Acaboom will continue to check if there are any items missing every 30mins for 3 days in the Market Appraisal that are deemed necessary to create the record in Acaboom. The following must be complete in an SME Professional Appraisal in order for the record to be inserted:

  • At least one 'linked employee' with role 2 - i.e Valuer

  • Acaboom staff member that matched the valuer email and office from one in SME Professional

  • At least one 'property' linked with the appraisal, with complete address, postcode etc.

  • Appraisal meeting date and start time

  • The appraisal meeting date must be a future date when the sync runs

Pre-Appointment sending
At the setup stage you have the option to automatically set the Pre-appointment presentation to send automatically. If this is not on by default, you can login into Acaboom and manually send the Pre-appointment Presentation on a case-by-case basis.
