Installation

As a mutual client of Acaboom and Alto, you can install the Acaboom app directly via the Alto Marketplace.
To begin, go to the Alto Marketplace and click install on Acaboom.

During installation, you will:

  • Select which branches in Alto are to be used

  • Initiate the integration between Alto and Acaboom

Once installation is complete, Acaboom receives an automatic confirmation.
After this:

  • Acaboom will complete the mapping of Alto offices/branches to the corresponding Acaboom accounts

  • A go-live date will be agreed with you

  • On the agreed date, the integration will be switched on

How the Integration Works

Alto sends all appointment details to Acaboom, including:

  • Homeowner’s name

  • Property address

  • Contact information

  • Appointment date and time

  • Assigned appraiser

The valuer (appraiser) is identified using the field highlighted:
If more than one staff member is attending the appointment, ensure the valuer (appraiser) is selected whose Pre-Appointment template should be used.

Booking a Market Appraisal in Alto

When booking a Market Appraisal in Alto, the recommended order is:

  1. Add the property and contact record first
    (and amend if needed)

  2. Raise a Market Appraisal – this will then instantaneously send the data to Acaboom.

This ensures correct data flows into Acaboom.
Important note: Acaboom assigns presentations based on the Main Office specified in the Property Record within Alto.

Pre-Appointment Presentation Sending Rules

A pre-appointment presentation will be sent only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The appointment date/time is in the future

  • Both the account and valuer exist in Acaboom

  • The valuer has access to the ‘main office’ into which they are booking into Acaboom

Past Appointments

If a Market Appraisal is raised with a past appointment date/time, the property will still be added to Acaboom, but no pre-appointment will be sent.

Updating Appointments

If you update either:

  • the appointment date/time, or

  • the valuer

…and the appointment is still in the future, the pre-appointment will be resent.

Important: Disable/cancel Pre-Appointment Sending in Alto

When the Acaboom integration is enabled, the user should cancel Alto’s own “pre-appointment” sending to avoid vendors receiving duplicate confirmations.

This can be done via each of the following:
Untick 'Prompt to send letter and confirmation after sending' then 'save' or 'cancel' on the 'Send confirmation' page:

Presentation Account Allocation & Roaming Valuers

Acaboom assigns presentations based on the Main Office specified in the Property Record within Alto.

Valuer Locations

A valuer may:

  • Be based at the same office as the Main Office, or

  • Be a roaming valuer (assigned to a different office but completing an appraisal on behalf of another office)

The integration supports both scenarios.
