Market commentary is the latest feature coming to the nurturing hub, which will help you to generate messages about the market to broadcast to all of your clients on a monthly basis.

Video overview:

The market commentary interface

The market commentary interface is split into 2 main sections.

On the left is the email editor – this is where you will configure the actual contents of the message that will be broadcast to the homeowner. You can choose the subject header, the body text, and even customise the font style, sizing, colour etc.

On the right is the AI chat bot. This is where you can choose to “prompt” the AI chat bot with instructions to generate a message for you, which can then be copied into the email editor.

It is your choice whether you write a message manually straight into the editor, or whether you want to use the AI chat to help you construct that message.

The AI chat bot

If you are already familiar with AI prompting, you can start by typing your prompt/instructions straight into the message box towards the bottom of the AI section. You can be as specific or as vague as you like.

For example, the above “vague” prompt would generate the following message.

However, if you are unfamiliar with AI prompting and are not sure on how to get the best result, we would recommend that you click the New AI chat button to get started.

You’ll get the best results from being specific with your prompts, which can be achieved via the above method, but may be easier for you to achieve this way instead, as it helps you to to break things down and craft the perfect prompt for your requirements.

There are 3 sections here – Prompts, Headline AI instruction and tone of voice.

“Headline AI instruction” is essentially the “main” instruction you are giving the AI bot, and “prompts” are the various topics you also want to include in the message.

For example, here we want the bot to “create a property market commentary for Stoke-on-Trent”, including topics such as “market trends”, “economic factors” and “transport links to nearby cities” in the generated message.

“Tone of voice” determines the writing style conveyed in the message. By default, this is set to “Professional and formal”, but can be changed to be more casual and informal if you prefer.

Once you’re happy with your selection, click “Generate”.

The system will return you to the main market commentary screen. You will see the prompt you just built appear at the top of the AI chat bot window; and below it, the message itself that was generated from that prompt.

If you’re happing with the message that was generated, you can copy the contents of the message by clicking the copy icon.

Then, paste it into the email editor by clicking inside the editor, then holding CTRL + V.

Once the message is inside the editor, you are welcome to edit any part of it as you see fit, just as you would edit an email. You will also want to enter a subject line, as the AI bot won’t generate this for you.

Before you save the commentary ready to be broadcast, you can preview how it’ll appear to the homeowner by clicking Preview.

Please note the logo would be replaced with your company’s logo when editing commentary in your account.

Once you’re happy, return to “Market commentary” and click Save & approve.

If you want to save a draft to return to later, you can do so via “Save draft”.

You should see the “Approved” checkbox mark itself – this tells you that the market commentary is saved, and approved to be broadcast on the selected schedule date.

If you’d like to update the scheduled send date, you can do so by clicking on that option in the top-right hand corner. Please note that this will also influence the date that the “market insights” report gets sent on.
